It's always been a dream of mine to have my own piano. At university and residential college I would always play on the beautiful pianos they had in their music rooms (sometimes sneaking in without permission - I wasn't a music student and didn't have access to some of the nicer grand pianos). When I moved to Sydney in 2020 I had a great keyboard, but it wasn't quite the same as a piano. So late 2021 I decided to go ahead buy my first ever piano - A 1985 Kawai NS-10, and I have no regrets! The previous owner kept it in exquisite condition (for which I'm very grateful), and I love the mellow tone.
